Is Ubuntu not working right? WIFI down again? It won’t sleep when you shut the lid on your laptop?
Well forget about that distro; Instead, use DistroX. It’ll work because it has a magical combination of apps and just the right amount of pixie dust sprinkled on the conf files to make it somehow suck less.
...Until you update, of course.

Have you tried Arch?
“I’m installing it right now in a virtual machine” (TM)
I think someone really needs to put out a “Distro-X” that is totally stripped down to nothing but the command line… no login screen, no brown, green, blue, or vomit-colored wall paper… just a black screen with a terminal for all user interaction.
As if Linux didn’t have enough ideological baggage, the camp is further split into distrowars. They’d like to think the sheer volume of distros (numbering over 300 at distrowatch) is a beautiful example of diversity and choice, but in truth it’s one of the biggest hindrances to Linux adoption. Not only do they confuse users and throw any hope of standardization out the window, but they also give the Linux zealot a convenient excuse as to a user’s Linux experience sucks.
they do have command line distros. finnix is actually quite good. trk too, although it hasnt been updated
